Get calibrated RIN data with Atelase RT40

How it works - schematics
The RT40 Difference:
  • Built-in Calibration Source. Each measurement taken with your specific ESA is calibrated. Not only this ensures highly accurate RIN data, but also enables you to measure excess laser RIN below shot noise limit.
  • Validated Credibility. RT40 implements the traceable calibration method developed by NIST. While we provide a streamlined user experience, the underlying science is rooted in the most trusted standards in the field.
If you have an ESA in your lab, the RT40 is the most efficient way to get "gold-standard" RIN data.

How It Works

We provide an optional laptop that controls both RT40 and your ESA to quickly start measuring RIN. The RT40 can also be part of your test rack, remotely controlled with VISA-type commands. The video below shows how a $260 TinySA ESA can be used to measure RIN with shot-noise-limited sensitivity.

Our instruments can be customized to meet your requirements.

RT40 value beyond RIN:
  • RF Photonic and Radio Over Fiber Signal Processing. Use RT40 as a microwave photonics front-end to demodulate high-frequency signals, characterize mode-locked laser and frequency comb timing jitter and pulse stability.
  • RF generation. Heterodyne optical carriers to generate low-phase-noise signals for RADAR and 5G/6G wireless testing.
